fact of the matter is, some folks could stand to lose access to hamburgers, losing hamburgers would be a mitzvah to them

Cows belch methane. Methane is flammable. Cows are dragons?

+darknightoftroy Yeah, but we don't hook up collectors to cow anus' yet. Don't look at me, I'm for it.

No. Honestly though, if they burned their methane produced by the bacteria in their stomachs, it would be a lot less detrimental in the short term.Methane is like 100x as potent a greenhouse gas as CO2, though over the course of many decades it gradually does decay into CO2. In the short term, having very high methane emissions is scary as hell, in the long term, CO2 is the bigger problem, and one that doesn't solve itself.

In EU we already have carbon-pricing, but because the price is so low, I doesn't work the way it should. But I'm still glad we have it.

+Hugues de Payens Competitive advantage isn't going to help anyone when we're all fucking dying of heat strokes, and food shortages.

+Artur Gasparyan I would say that is an accurate statement. Germany has been a debacle. Renewables have failed. Electricity prices and gas prices skyrocketed and Germany had to fall back to coal and natural gas the latter of which they have become dependent on from Russia. Europeans are fucking morons. All of them.
