    300g fish belly ( Grass Carp ) 草魚腩, 3g sugar,
    120g Chinese pickled mustard tuber 榨菜,
    appropriate amounts - shredded ginger 姜絲, peanut oil

    [ cooking tips 🌱 ]
    1. Cut the fish belly into slices of moderate thickness.
    2. Chinese pickled mustard tuber is salty by itself. Seasoning with salt is not required while sugar is a must, to neutralize the saltiness of the mustard tuber and enhances umami.
    3. Steam over high heat for 8 to 10 minutes yields most flavourful taste.

    Not sure what fish but it was belly cut. The other ingredients were Zha Cai (pickled mustard), sugar, oil, ginger. steam 8 minutes. Marinade 10 minutes.
