Hi Uncle Bob. I enjoy watching all of your videos. I am from the USA. There is a cantonese restaurant my family and I go to. It is our favorite restaurant. He offers a lot of the dim sum. My favorite is General Tso chicken. The coating on the chicken is crispy and the chicken is tender and juicy, even after its sauced. Even when its the next day, its still crispy.!!He must be a crispy chicken wizard because I haven't figured it out.I have tried replicating it many times.Lets count the ways:Dipped in just flour then fried.Dipped in with egg then corn starch and then fried. Dipped with egg then with corn starch mixed with flour and fried. Dipped in just corn starch and then fried.Dipped in potato starch then egg then potato starch again and the fried. This way has been somewhat close.I am glad my family doesn't mind being my test tasters. They haven't complained yet.Somethings gotta give. I have tried to ask for the recipe at the Canton House and all the employees just smile at me. HAHA! I would not give it out either. After all, they would miss my business. Just so happened that I found this video while eating pretty much the same soup. I added some sliced potatoes to mine and made it with homemade chicken stock. Love this channel by the way. On top of interesting recipes the subtitles in both English and Chinese characters give me a chance to improve my Chinese also
