  • Why is there something instead of nothing? In other words: Why does the universe exist (and why are we in it)? Philosopher and writer Jim Holt follows this question toward three possible answers. Or four. Or none.

The purpose of to live in this world is to worship God whether you like it or you do not like it that's why we are give freedom of choice to worship God or not. If you are worship God you will be saved you In the day of judgment day this simple as that. you lose everything if you do not worship God Allah

The only thing you'll get from the video is that this guy never had a cell phone. And I'm pretty sure that I don't know what he means by that.

How can something come out of nothing? That does not make sense. If by nothing you may mean a form of something, then why does that version of something exist? Anyhow: What was the first thing that existed? Where did that come from? Eternal matter? Eternal Energy? How come that exist? What is the origin of being, of existence itself? ... I think philosophically speaking, we must admit, that an Eternal Creator or Source of Being, is at least possible.

I think it is human nature to wonder why, even though there's no possible way for us to ever know or understand. There's no way to travel back to the "beginning" to see the big bang, to travel to the top or bottom of any "strings," or find evidence of a "God" that is responsible for everything. If there was, what existed before that? And before that? Its all speculation. It can never be proven.

I didn't come here for answers, nor do I expect to find any anytime soon. We're all here for a short amount of time in relation to the age of everything (on Earth and beyond) to try and figure out where it all came from. Nobody knows, and no one ever will. I just find it interesting and entertaining to see other peoples' perspectives and points of view on the matter. Theories are theories until they can be proven, and so far, there's no Law of the universe, just like there is no Law of God. It might ruffle some feathers, but nothing can be proven for either. We can only 'believe' in an idea or theory, but we can't 'believe' an idea or theory into existence, unless it can be proven, science or otherwise. There's no way we can ever know for sure.

So interesting: Humans can understand why the universe exist, but God cannot.
People cannot understand God's thought and God's existence. That is why the equation is wrong and the assumption about God's existence and God's understanding about himself are wrong.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So my ways are higher than your ways And my thoughts than your thoughts." Isa 55. 9
"Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God." Heb 3.4
Studying science is great. I just do not know why people invent theories (theories are not facts) to lie about the universe.
In the beginning, and always, there was God. If this is hard to understand for us humans, this is not hard for God to understand. And because we have much less intelligence than he has we will probably never understand this.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has even put eternity in their heart; yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish." Eccl 3.11

There is only one universe, hence, uni, he spoke into existence! One verse was all the mighty creator needed for all!... But, has many dimensions of that"uni-verse"!. Think of it like many pictures, like a negative superimposed/layered,over each other, many make a whole! U think it's a coincidence that holograms are just like that!.... People experience time slips, portals, and even though they stay in that exact spot, the scenery around them is another dimension, rememba, many make a whole!!... "Atoms are the pixels of life"... 😵👍?, 🌐🌏☯️♾️⚛️..

the anthropic principle, the many worlds theory, multiverse or intelligent design, or an intelligent universe.those are the four causes. i will rule out the multiverse as there is no proof of it. however the many worlds theory of quantum mechanics, with the creation of probably parallel universe has been experimentally proven.when decoherence occurs. and solves the paradoxes of retrocausality in quantum mechanics. so that is one possible reason. The anthropic principle-or the anthropic cosmological principle/wheeler's anthropic participatory principle is based on the copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics first established by Bohr and his colleagues, where reality requires an intelligent observer to be reality and there is a sense in which the moon does not exist if it is not being observed or measured however one problem with that, is that we start with a block universe, and the base of it is information, even before energy and matter. that is inferred from einstein's theories and remains the most probably model of the universe at a fundamental level, with the space fabric made of some kind of quantum foam. it is like a frozen block with the past and the future and the presents all existing in the block as information. and only when we interactive with it do events start to flow, as forces play out on matter. so its first of all like the static frames on a film in a camera, then with interaction it is like a film playing. however a problem- where did that information come from that is contained in the base level of the block universe. . a cyclic universe is a poor explanation, and a bit of a cop out in order to avoid the difficult question. it would be solved by an intelligent universe or a deity like figure with intelligence. einstein seemed to believe in spinozas god-that of an ordered universe itself being a kind of intelligence/divinity, rather than a personal god. its easy to see why jews who escaped the holocaust to britain and america would reject a personal god with the best of human like traits of mercy, compassion and empathy. so we are maybe dealing with a tyrant like god, who though maybe all powerful and perfectly pure, does not have the empathy humans have, and is rather cold and unrelatable, and only perfect from the deity's perspective- that is just a loose hypothesis and so far untestable.im just focusing on a judeo-christian god here, as we are talking about the western world's moral foundations.or an intelligent universe-spinozas god-this is a rather mystical idea, like something from the kabbalists, interesting but testable so far the many worlds doesnt solve it, because it actually makes it worse, as we are now dealing with probably infinite parallel universes with intelligent observers. all i can say is that quantum mechanics is the best theory that exists to describe reality, it even seems to have been the driving force of evolution of biological life on earth at the base level. i think the answer is in quantum mechanics somewhere.

What this guy is explaining for those who are expecting a meme in the background and him too be wearing a fornight suit is reality is a zero sum game delicately & is what you make it literally. Goes back too plato and aristolpol which were philopshers before the alleged death of christ. Roughly if i remeber 357 bc & 370 bc? Humans have been pondering this question for Millenia.
